BTS Member Suga Expresses His Desire to Perform in India, Professing His Love for Bollywood Films

By

BTS member Suga recently expressed his affection for fans in India and shared his love for Bollywood films. During a live session after his Agust D-Day tour in Bangkok, Suga responded to a fan’s request for BTS to come to India for a concert. Although BTS has a massive fan following in India, they have not yet announced any official plans for tours in the country.

Suga mentioned that before the tour dates were announced, they were considering various locations for shows, including India. However, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, they were unable to organize a concert in the country. Suga expressed his genuine desire to perform in India, stating, “India? Guys, I really want to go perform in India. Before the tour dates were announced, we were looking at a few different places for the shows. One of those was India, but unfortunately, we couldn’t set up a show due to Covid.”

In addition to his excitement about visiting India, Suga also revealed his fondness for Bollywood films. He acknowledged the flags and comments from fans worldwide and expressed his gratitude, saying, “I want you guys to know I’m seeing all the flags you’ve been putting in the comments. One day, I’ll go visit each and every place.” He then specifically mentioned India, recognizing the support of Indian ARMYs and confessing his love for Bollywood movies.

This news sparked a wave of excitement among Indian fans, known as the BTS ARMY, who flooded Twitter with their enthusiastic posts. One fan exclaimed, “My God, I’m not in the right stage right now… Suga is talking about India and Indian movies, Bollywood OMG!” Another fan eagerly added, “OMG… Suga knows Bollywood and wants to come to India. I hope he comes soon.” The outpouring of support continued, with another tweet declaring, “We won. Period.”

It’s worth noting that this is not the first time a BTS member has addressed concert plans for India. In fact, a BTS concert in Mumbai was planned for 2020. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those plans could not materialize.

RM, another member of BTS, had previously mentioned their goal of embarking on a year-long tour, visiting several countries on different continents. Following the success of their song “On,” discussions were underway for a tour, with Mumbai being one of the intended stops. Suga recently released his first solo album, D-Day, in April, and he is currently on his first solo tour. BTS, comprised of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, continues to captivate fans around the world.
