Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): In its commitment to ensure fairness and transparency in examinations, the Yogi government has released guidelines for the upcoming B.Ed. entrance exam 2023, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s office.

The statement highlighted that the exams will be conducted in a completely transparent and organized manner, with strict measures in place to prevent cheating. Following the successful and fair conduct of the UP Board exams, preparations are now underway to hold the Joint B.Ed. entrance examination 2023 in line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of transparency.

This year, Bundelkhand University will be responsible for organizing the entrance exam, which will be closely monitored through live CCTV surveillance. The university has made comprehensive arrangements for the smooth conduct of the exams, including the use of biometrics and face recognition systems to register the attendance of all candidates in both shifts.

To ensure security, the district administration is working diligently to establish strong security measures at all examination centers. Each center will have a representative and a static magistrate present. The statement further mentioned that on June 15, the B.Ed. Joint Entrance Examination 2023 will be held simultaneously in all 75 districts of the state, with an estimated 4.73 lakh candidates appearing for the exam.

In order to comply with the instructions of the Yogi government, a detailed presentation on the integrity, security, and safety of the examination was given to Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra.

The presentation outlined that live CCTV surveillance has been implemented in all centers across the state, which will be fully operational by June 12, managed by the university. Additionally, each district will have a City Incharge appointed by the District Magistrate, along with a Center Representative at two centers. A Static Magistrate will be deployed at each examination center. Bundelkhand University, in collaboration with representatives from other nodal universities, will play a key role in administering the entrance examination.

The responsibilities of each role, including the City Incharge and the Static Magistrate, have been clearly defined to ensure smooth coordination. The District Magistrate will appoint the City Incharge, who will be responsible for handling all examination-related confidential materials, from their deposit in the district treasury to their delivery at the examination center.

All confidential materials will be opened at the designated time in the presence of the Static Magistrate. The Static Magistrate will oversee the distribution and collection of question booklets and OMR sheets, as well as conduct inspections during the examination.

Bundelkhand University has taken measures to ensure the secure handling of confidential materials related to the examination, and the assistance of the district administration and the police department will be sought for this purpose.

Following the directives, armed police constables will accompany the Center Representatives to transport confidential materials from the treasury to the examination centers. Adequate security arrangements, including police forces and escorts, will be made at all examination centers. As per security instructions, two armed police personnel will accompany the representatives from Bundelkhand University during the transportation of confidential materials to Jhansi.
